Juanique Randall

Juanique is a communications futurist, strategist and writer. To effectively understand multiple social perspectives, she stepped out her original field of study in Journalism to work with clients in various industries. Having gained a broader understanding of the dynamics of the landscape’s trends and key role-players, she is working on a campaign to include narratives that showcase SA's pockets of excellence in context to the National Development Plan's 'Vision 2030'.  Juanique is the author of  Beyond the Paradox (set for publishing in 2019),
set against the backdrop of the fields of media psychology and media ecology, explores the ramifications of Africa’s absence from the global economic discourse.  
Siddique Motala (PhD)

Siddique's broad area of research is Geographic Information Systems (GIS), with a strong focus on the following areas: Geomatics education, Historical mapping, Participatory GIS and Open Source GIS. He currently undertaking research on combining GIS and storytelling of African history as a decolonising methodology. He has also been involved in research that investigated the use of Participatory GIS for informal settlement upgrading.

His has a strong portfolio of global, regional and local brand strategy work, across continents and across the value chain. He has served as Chief Strategy Officer at TBWA Hunt Lascaris and as MTN’S Global Strategy Director.

He has implemented systems and solutions in a variety of complex industries including: financial services, predictive marketing, energy infrastructure, security and predictive planning. His academic background is in pure mathematics and theoretical computer science with a focus on machine intelligence and complexity theory.
